As a parent or carer, you will, of course, feel happy and relieved once the treatment ends, but you may feel some unexpected emotions, such as fear, anxiety and stress. These are all completely normal and are felt by many parents whose children have survived cancer.

You and your chlld may have formed special bonds with some of the doctors and other staff you have met during the cancer journey. You and your child may miss this. However, there are many support groups that offer new relationships that will help you deal with these different emotions.
